CELA Vision
A just world, in which businessmen and women act always in good faith with each other. Lawyers, all trained in comparative law and comparative legal thinking, assist their clients with contracts which are so clear that there is no need for arbitration.
If a dispute arises in view of unforeseen circumstances, the parties and lawyers succeed in resolving it amicably. If such efforts fail, the parties engage in a fair and efficient arbitration which leads to a fair settlement or a just judgement.
CELA Goals
The Chinese European Legal Association e. V. (“CELA”) has recognised the importance of international cooperation in the world of international dispute avoidance and resolution. CELA has the ambition to develop legal exchange and interaction between China, Europe and the rest of the world. In addition, it aims at cooperation between different dispute resolution centres since it can increase the availability to the international trade and investment community of means of resolving disputes in a pragmatic and cost-efficient way. CELA furthers intercultural legal exchange and alternative dispute resolution (in particular arbitration and mediation as opposed to litigation) with the objective of providing for facilitation, consolidation and extension of business, training and cultural connections between China and the world.
